"Me? And him?"
Mike pointed to himself with some astonishment, then looked over at Li Ang.
His surprise was understandable, after all, it had been over three years since he last sparred with a newcomer.
However, now that the coach had arranged it, he wasn't going to refuse. Mike simply looked Li Ang up and down for a good while, trying to figure out what was special about him.
Once he confirmed that the other party was ready, Mike launched into a double leg takedown, a move that, at a glance, almost seemed like he was kneeling on the ground, yet he maintained the ability to move swiftly in this stance.
This maneuver was one of the extremely fierce ones among offensive techniques, and he came in hard from the get-go as a means to assert dominance over the newcomer.
After all, newcomers at this stage, having just learned a plethora of moves, often find themselves exceedingly confident, and to make progress, they certainly needed to recognize their own shortcomings first.
