The club-wielder obviously froze for a second. His brain was still processing the fact that Li Ang was saying sorry, and suddenly, the ironic twist added to the burden on his CPU, causing his reaction to be a bit "laggy."
By the time he finally understood Li Ang's response, he snapped, angrily rushing at Li Ang with a dagger in hand.
"Damn it, looks like big brother here has to teach you a lesson and let you bleed a bit today!"
Li Ang was waiting for just that, his sense of law was still quite intact; it wouldn't hurt to establish the pretext of self-defense first, being cautious had no downsides.
