By the time he returned to Hillsboro, the sun had already set.
Looking at the route the car was taking, it didn't seem to be headed towards his home, which made Li Ang somewhat confused and ask,
"Where are we going?"
Eric, finally finding some sense of presence, deliberately elongated his tone as he replied,
"Of course, we're going to eat. Do you think a cycling champion can survive without food? My grandpa has already reserved a spot; they're all waiting for us to come back."
Li Ang nodded.
"That's great to hear, I was actually planning to sing your praises in front of your grandpa, but now it seems unnecessary."
"No, no, no, I need your help. You know how I get, talking nonsense once I've been in the car too long."
Clearly, Eric's grandfather had booked the entire restaurant. The waiters started tending to them from the moment they alighted from the car, and seeing Eric's entire family waiting at the tables, Li Ang had never experienced such treatment in his life.
