By the lakeside of Meixi, along Forest Avenue, Chen Cheng had just sent a group of folks from Southern Chu back to their apartments, his heart suddenly a mixture of apprehension and tension.
"Hey, I really shouldn't have said so much today, imparting so much negative energy to the juniors; it was wrong of me!" he silently reproached himself, feeling utterly terrible.
Today was the first day of school and having just returned to campus after a long summer break, one would think he'd be in high spirits, but that wasn't the case for Chen Cheng.
Seeing all the youthful and invincible juniors reminded him of his own first days at university last year, when his mindset was virtually identical to theirs.
Yet, just a year later, Chen Cheng felt like a seasoned pro; his mind was so filled with negative energy that he couldn't help but speak a lot while showing the juniors around campus today.
There's no helping it; society is just that complex, there are indeed various ranks within it.
