Liu Mang and Lu Mengyao swiftly retreated, finally making it back onto the first section of the floating bridge, aiming to rush ashore.
After another failed bite, the behemoth became enraged, bursting out of the swamp, revealing a body that was at least twenty meters long. Its massive tail swung violently, striking the first section of the floating bridge and sending the thick logs flying.
Before the floating bridge was hit, Liu Mang exerted all his strength to take Lu Mengyao with him as he leaped toward the shore in a desperate attempt.
Unfortunately, the shore was still too far away, Liu Mang jumped several meters, but there were still a few meters separating them from the shore.
Just as they were about to fall into the swamp, Liu Mang lifted Lu Mengyao and threw her towards the shore.
Lu Mengyao felt a tremendous force as she was propelled toward the shore. Glancing back in mid-air, she saw Liu Mang had fallen into the swamp, half his body sinking into it.
