With a twinge of guilt, Gao Ming climbed out of bed, wanting to ask if the other people in the dormitory had heard that noise so they could compare notes.
Sticking his head out from under the mosquito net, Gao Ming looked around and suddenly felt something was amiss— the dormitory was too quiet.
Picking up his cell phone, Gao Ming saw that it was now eleven fifty in the evening. He had been absorbed in a nightmare while assimilating memory fragments and had unknowingly spent a lot of time.
"Is there no one in the dormitory?"
Lifting each mosquito net, he found that everyone had left without informing him.
Scanning his phone's group chat, there wasn't a single message in Gao Ming's group.
"From an individual's standpoint, there's no reason I should be the one left behind. Did they see something climbing onto my bed and then ran away decisively?"
Gao Ming tried sending a message to Xi Shan— Did you guys go to the bathroom?
Xi Shan: ???
Gao Ming: What's wrong?
