Time finally made its way to the evening.
Even now, the factory was still brightly lit; the only difference was that the target of the search had shifted from people to areas.
After nearly an entire day, the security hadn't found any related clues on anyone, nor had they found the ledger or the black box. Therefore, the factory manager and the secretary deduced that if it wasn't on a person, it must have been hidden somewhere in advance.
To methodically search every corner of the factory, the factory manager ordered a strict guard, starting from his office and working outward. Only the areas that were searched without finding the ledger or black box were allowed to be accessed by the workers who had been searched.
No one was allowed to enter the areas that had not yet been searched, to prevent the criminal from finding an opportunity to move the target.
Such a search seemed utterly useless and was indeed a waste of effort.
