Gazing at the huge mirror, this Clerk sighed and activated the Magic Mirror with a touch.
Amberser's visage appeared on the surface, and the two locked eyes for a long time, but both were silent, as if neither knew how to begin.
After three hundred years of not seeing each other, Salvador had become a Devil, and Amberser had turned into a Mirror Spirit. Once fighting side by side, they ended up as enemies. With too many stories between them, they didn't know where to start.
Eventually, it was Salvador who spoke first, saying to Amberser, "After so many years, I'm surprised you haven't ascended to a Deity."
Amberser replied with self-mockery, "Becoming a Deity isn't that simple, especially for someone as greedy and unrestrained as I am. Among mortals, there are too many greedy ones; I'm just one of them."
