Katherine looked at the wooden cup in Amberser's hand and said doubtfully, "Is the bet still the same?"
Amberser said casually, "Of course, as long as you can take the cup out of the city, whatever you say, I'll do."
Katherine glanced at Amberser a few times, snatched the cup, and then quickly left the tavern.
But before long, Katherine returned to the tavern with a downcast look and angrily said, "You tricked me, I was stopped again when leaving the city, they said there must be a problem with me leaving so quickly, and when they inspected, the cup was smashed by them!"
Amberser smiled and said, "It's not me tricking you, but the arrangement of fate. After these two experiences, you should understand that things that seem simple are impossible to do. You might still be thinking now, if only you had persisted, rushed straight out of the city, you would have won. But it's useless, a destiny that has been set cannot be changed by anyone, not even the deities."
