Blood dripped from the wound on his chest, inflicted by Gareth's blade.
That single strike had already pierced through two dragons and several Githyanki Dragon Knights, but its remaining force had managed to breach his Magic Shield and left him with a chilling wound.
Fortunately, it had missed his heart. Githyanki, even those of a Mage's constitution, were quite resilient, allowing Leds, though wounded, to barely escape on his Red Dragon.
Leds was a Githyanki commander, and it was he who led the team during this invasion from the Star Realm.
With his flight, the battle was lost.
However, Leds didn't believe it was his fault, and likely, neither did the other Githyanki.
The plan wasn't supposed to go like this.
The original plan was to engage in battle with a section of humans upon their arrival and afterward, gain control of a vast kingdom as their domain.
