Li Xianyun and Yelu Yan had washed up and eaten some food. Yelu Yan leaned against the headboard reading while Li Xianyun sat on the edge of the bed working on soft silk armor.
The two sat quietly together in the large inner chamber, where the only sounds were the turning of book pages and Li Xianyun hooking the iron wire with a golden hook.
Yet, the air buzzed with a sweet scent, filled with the aroma of happiness everywhere.
Yelu Yan looked up at Li Xianyun.
They had been married for a long time, but both were busy with their own affairs, having little time together during the day. Being able to stick close to each other like this was truly wonderful.
Li Xianyun felt Yelu Yan's gaze, looked up with a smile that revealed her sweet dimples, and continued with her task, "What are you looking at?"
"Looking at why my Xianxian is so beautiful."
"Sweet talker," Li Xianyun laughed.
