Youlan was confused and puzzled. Jinwu actually didn't allow her to attend to Li Xianyun. What had happened?
Before she could figure it out, Jinwu took out a bundle of yellow paper from his embrace and stuffed it into her hands.
As Jinwu turned his head, he saw Li Xianyun's meaningful smile. It seemed that another person knew about his affection for Youlan. However, Youlan was slow to catch on, which really made him anxious.
Jinwu's face turned red, and he said to Li Xianyun, "Young master, please follow me."
The two walked one after the other towards a distant carriage.
Youlan unfolded the oiled paper behind them to find a fragrant pork-filled bun wrapped inside. Her lips curled into a broad smile.
She was just getting hungry, and this pork-filled bun was very timely indeed.
Li Xianyun followed Jinwu all the way to the furthest carriage.
The carriage was more than a mile away from the soldiers, so conversations inside couldn't be overheard.
