"Let's go, follow me to the study to get it!"
"Okay!" Dai Hanmi pulled Yun Jinnian along, "Sister Jinnian, come, let's go see the third brother's study. He's a book fanatic and has collected quite a lot of valuable books. See if there's anything you like, my third brother will give it to you!"
Dai Hanbo smiled without speaking.
Yun Jinnian, however, shook her head, "If there really is something I like, I'll borrow it to read and return it."
"Alright, let's go!"
Dai Hanbo was indeed a book fanatic; his study was filled with so many books, in several large rooms filled wall to wall with cupboards, each labeled with the type of book it contained.
There were all kinds of books indeed.
"Isn't it a lot?" Dai Hanmi asked.
Yun Jinnian nodded, "Indeed, it is."
"Sister Jinnian, take a look and see what you like. Pick a few to take back and read at your leisure. Once you have read them, return them to my third brother, and then you can take others to read!"
Dai Hanmi's eyes sparkled with mirth as she looked at Dai Hanbo teasingly. Dai Hanbo looked at Yun Jinnian, "Feel free to browse!"
After leaving the study and standing at the doorway,
like a great Buddha.
Dai Hanmi accompanied Yun Jinnian in choosing, and Yun Jinnian picked out ten books on the spot—poetry, miscellaneous writings, nothing specific, just books that seemed appealing to her.
Included among them were the medical books that Dai Hanbo had sought out with great difficulty.
"Thank you, Third Young Master, I will return them as soon as I have finished reading," Yun Jinnian said politely.
"Okay, that's fine!"
As he spoke, Dai Hanbo's ears turned slightly red.
Upon taking the books and exchanging a few more words with Dai Hanmi, she personally escorted Yun Jinnian to the door, watching her get into the carriage, "Sister Jinnian, take it slow, I'll come to pick you up at your house in a few days!"
"Alright, goodbye Sister Mi!"
"Be careful on the road!"
Dai Hanmi waved goodbye to Yun Jinnian, and only when the carriage had disappeared into the distance did she turn around and head back into the residence.
In the carriage, Yun Jinnian picked up one of the medical books to read.
She suddenly remembered it had been many days since she last saw Chu Yu and wondered what he was up to.
Thinking of Chu Yu, Yun Jinnian lost interest in her book.
She wanted to ask Chu Yu, but she didn't dare to visit Prince Rui Residence. Instead, she lifted the carriage curtain to look at the pedestrians on the street.
Since it was already the tenth of the month, many people were out making a living to provide for their families.
The big and small streets were bustling with activity.
"Hemei, Henuan, would you like to go down and take a look?"
Hemei and Henuan looked at each other, "Miss, would you like to go down and have a look?" Hemei asked.
"Not particularly, just looking around!" Yun Jinnian said, and then suddenly recalled that her father had been gone for many days without sending word home.
So much for true concern.
She lowered the curtain and sat in silence.
"Miss, our carriage has been stopped!" The carriage driver was from the Han Family, skilled in martial arts, but faced with the blocking carriage, he didn't dare make a rash move.
Because the opponents' entourage consisted of four people, each with martial arts skills surpassing those of the lone carriage driver, and the carriage bore the emblem of a Golden Phoenix.
A guard approached, "May I ask if this is Yun Family's fourth miss?"
"Yes!"
"My Princess would like to invite the fourth miss to speak with her in the carriage!"
The carriage driver wanted to say something, but Yun Jinnian had already lifted the carriage curtain, "Is it Princess Jinfeng?"
"Yes!"
"It should be I who pays a visit to the Princess," Yun Jinnian said, stepping out of the carriage. By the luxurious carriage, a footstool had already been placed.
Yun Jinnian stepped on the stool and entered the carriage, seeing Princess Jinfeng and Chu Yu sitting together, she was momentarily taken aback, "Your Highness, Your Excellency!"
Princess Jinfeng smiled, "Please, sit down, let's talk!"
Yun Jinnian nodded and sat beside Princess Jinfeng.
Princess Jinfeng took Yun Jinnian's cold hands into hers to warm them and asked, "How is Elder Lady Dai faring?"
