"Get yourself dressed up like the mainstream, quickly."
Qiao Chutian said to her, giving her a blank look.
"Yes, sir!"
Mai Xiaomai, feeling cheerful, playfully saluted and hurried to the wardrobe to change into a fresh set of casual wear. Then she sat down at the vanity table and started combing her hair with a wooden comb.
As she combed, she remembered the Jade Comb that Lin Na had broken, and her actions momentarily paused as she smiled bitterly to herself.
Qiao Chutian watched her comb her hair from a distance.
Seeing her sudden bitter smile and guessing what she was thinking, he spoke up, "I'll buy you a new comb."
"No need. This wooden comb is quite good, and besides, wooden combs are the only kind suited for me."
