Despite Ning Xia forcing herself to heartlessly avoid any contact with Little Crybaby, when his cries reached her, it felt like a giant hand was clutching her throat, making it so suffocating she couldn't breathe.
Knowing she shouldn't, she still couldn't restrain herself, her feet unwittingly turning back, walking toward Little Crybaby.
"Little Crybaby...." she called softly, her voice hoarse.
Upon hearing the familiar voice, Little Crybaby looked up with tearful eyes, froze for a second, then threw open his little arms and fiercely hugged Ning Xia's legs, saying with a pitiable voice, "Super Sister, I thought you didn't want me anymore!"
Those little arms clung tightly, as if afraid she would walk away again.
"I'm sorry, Little Crybaby."
Ning Xia's throat became sore, she squatted down, pulled Little Crybaby into her embrace, her chin resting on his little shoulder, and a faint moistness appeared in her eyes, "I'm sorry...."
