Ning Xia tried hard to defuse the situation for Little Crybaby, but he didn't appreciate her efforts at all and even poked his head out from her arms, staring straight at Bo Siyan and saying, "I'm very serious!"
"Baby, can you talk less, please? I'm worried we might not make it out of this door alive!" Ning Xia reminded Little Crybaby with a forced smile, then placed her hand on his head and pushed him back into her embrace, turning towards Bo Siyan with an innocent smile, "He didn't say anything, you didn't hear a thing!"
Bo Siyan's dark eyes swept over Bo Lele, who was nestled in Ning Xia's embrace, but he didn't take the boy's words to heart, perhaps also considering that he had just woken up and didn't want to upset him again.
However, though he didn't fuss with Little Crybaby, he fixed his deep gaze on her, making Ning Xia's scalp tingle uncomfortably.
Then, belatedly, she remembered... Bo Siyan had warned her not to get close to Little Crybaby.
