The car stopped outside Xiaocheng's school, but school wasn't out yet.
Yan Ye held Lian Xinying's hand, leading her on a walk along the road.
Lian Xinying couldn't remember the last time she had taken such a leisurely stroll.
It had been even longer since she and Yan Ye had spent time together silently like an ordinary couple, simply whiling away the time.
"It would be nice if Xiaocheng got out of school now. The three of us, holding hands... walking slowly like this, how nice," Lian Xinying was never an ambitious woman.
Her heart was small.
She just wanted to be with her dearest family, cherishing this simple little happiness.
"What's so great about that little light bulb?" Yan Ye snorted coldly.
Lian Xinying couldn't hold back when Yan Ye treated their son like a light bulb and scolded him, "Our son is so young, he needs his parents' company. If we don't include him in everything we do, what's the difference between him and an orphan?"
