The sun stretched its youthful rays over my skin. At this point I had discarded my outerwear, letting the snow accumulate over me. The tip of my hair was drenched in powdered snow, and when my shoulders shook I felt countless particles of ice fall to the side. Around me the workers were in about the same situation.
Their stomachs growled with the exertion of a day's work. I could see the desire in their eyes, most of them worked less and less until the supervisor had to call it a day.
I still couldn't quite figure out what they were building. No. That wasn't exactly true. I knew what they were doing in one part, reinforcing the wall. From the amount and size of the stones they were using I could estimate maybe a three or so foot extension in either direction.
