I felt a warm breath part the cold over my shoulder. The journey here was short. Much shorter than I had ever remembered it to be. It was not the several day trip, nor was it a full on sprint.
No, the entire city had been transformed. Trees grew in rows, with people walking around the seemingly taken farmland. They harvested the materials with a deft hand and a smile that spoke of their enjoyment.
It must've been the same people that enjoyed farming games, the ones that could sit down for dozens of dozens of hours and just go through the work with a light smile and some beer. And if I looked closely, there it was, lo and behold they sat in the shade and drank some manner of drink.
I chuckled and gave them a passing glare. Behind me both Jade and Celeste looked on in wonder. "Was it always like this?" Was their collective question.
