My head turned to the sky. There wasn't a single star shining in that infinite black void. Nothing but the bright moon shooting rays of light over my person.
I felt the snow gently fall over my fingers and thanked the gods for the skill I had gained mere days ago.
Drug Resistance
If not for it. I would've died from that poison, I knew that for sure. For me it felt like I was being dragged down, my heart pumped blood at such an accelerated rate. It felt like I was going to die.
But I didn't. And I had that resistance to thank.
Adrenaline settled. Exhaustion replaced the feverous beat of my heart. So that when I blinked again, all I felt was a stone's weight over my legs.
I stood and leaned against the trunk of a tree. Upon my hands was the map, I had a duty, a mission I had promised the completion of.
