Georg opened the flap of the tent, my body shivered at the sudden burst of cold. It woke me up and forced me to greet those steely eyes of his.
"Wakey wakey." He deadpanned.
"Preparations have been made. Come, we depart in a moment's time."
I yawned, rose from the bedroll and placed my clothes and equipment back on. Despite my misgivings of Georg's methods this was an opportunity to make quite some money. Maybe if I wasn't in such need of income I would've refused.
But what if's could be saved for another day.
I ducked under the flap of the tent and made my way into the middle of the camp. From there I was greeted by bleary hello's. People carried swords and shields like they were being sent to their deaths.
However it was the girl in the middle. She carried a saber on her side with golden hair flowing down her backside. A familiar face in a tide of unknowns.
"I heard that there was some hire. But for it to be you. What a coincidence."
