"That's absolutely idiotic."
Jade glared something fierce at me. Like I was a stain beneath her foot. Something to be wiped off and done with. But I wasn't a stain, I wasn't something that she could so easily rid herself of.
"Then what is your mighty suggestion? Oh' creator of schemes." I hummed. It was easy to see that I was being sarcastic, that my hostility was laid out to bear. Despite the warnings that Gabriel had placed. I couldn't help it.
She was my antithesis. The caution to my recklessness, the rock to my flow. I scowled and waited for an answer. And when it didn't come I smirked victoriously.
"You don't have one. Any scheme you, or by consequence we, come up with will be something so elaborate, so mind meltingly smart" I put the last word in quotes, rolling my eyes appropriately. "That it will turn around at the simple concept of luck. We'll be slaughtered ourselves, or routed."
