Chapter 61 - Chapter 61: Janice Can't Stand It Anymore

The next day, Jack heard gunshots coming from the hallway.

"Bang! Bang"

Two gunshots sounded like two large firecrackers were set off.

This was undoubtedly done by David.

Obviously, Jack's words yesterday had already had an effect.

In the situation of being on the brink of despair, people's fear of death began to slowly disappear.

The noodles that Jack promised to eat until they were full for a week had an irresistible temptation for them.

Jack opened the surveillance and saw the scene of the conflict breaking out.

Two men with wrenches and knives in their hands fell to the ground, blood staining the hallway.

However, David was not much better either. He leaned against the wall, holding a gun in his hand, with a lingering fear in his heart.

They would intercept the people who fetched water here, and others can naturally take advantage of this opportunity to counterattack them.

David instructed his subordinates to tow away these two bodies and quickly followed him back to the house where he lived. A handgun was firmly held in his hand, and now it was his last reliance. Two bodies were dragged back home, and David signaled to his younger brother. They immediately dragged the bodies to the back of the kitchen.

David's gaze was gloomy, and sitting on the cold sofa did not provide him with much warmth.

After returning yesterday, he saw the message in the group and learned that Jack had offered him a reward.

This made him furious beyond measure.

He thought he's a hunter and Jack was just a prey!

Why should prey retaliate against hunters?

However, he underestimated the madness of those in dire straits.

Early this morning, two desperate young people came to take his life.

This made David felt a hint of crisis, but at the same time, he became even crazier!

"Die, kill all of you. If you want me to die, go die first."

David roared angrily.

After relaxing, he suddenly felt some pain in his back.

So he called out a little brother to help him see what was going on.

After taking a glance, the little brother immediately shouted, "David, you've been stabbed in the back."

On David's down jacket, a 30 centimeter long cut was made by a kitchen knife. The blood on the black down jacket was not very obvious, but could only be seen upon closer inspection

Just now, due to the cold outside and David's excitement, the secretion of adrenal hormones accelerated, so there was no pain sensation.

Now hearing his little brother said this, he immediately cried out in pain.

"These two dogs dare to sneak attack me."

Fine beads of sweat oozed from his forehead, and he quickly picked up his phone to call Janice.

"Dr. Janice, I have some injuries. Please come over and help me bandage them up."

Not long after, Janice arrived at David's house with a medical kit on her back.

Watching this ruthless villain,Janice's eyes were filled with disgust.

But in order to survive, she had to heal him.

In fact, the reason why David's arrow wound did not occur before was also because she helped him heal the wound.

Although she was unwilling, she had no choice in the face of the villain's gun.

"I won't help you for free."

Janice said coldly.

David chuckled and pointed to the kitchen, saying, "I'll give you a portion of what you'll eat later."

Janice sniffed hard before smelling the pungent smell of blood.

Her face changed as she worked in the hospital all year round, so of course she knew what it was.

Suppressing the urge to vomit, Janice said coldly, "No need."

David chuckled and said, "What time is it that Dr. Janice is still so arrogant?" "One day, you will eat it. If you don't eat it, you will die."

"I would rather die."

Janice frowned.

"I can't bear to part with that! In this world now, having a doctor by my side is too important."s

David exclaimed.

If it weren't for Janice helping him deal with the injury on his leg back then, now he wouldn't have lost just one leg, but his life!

"Don't worry, if one day I have to eat you, I will also leave you at the back."

David stared at Janice, a hint of warmth flashing in his eyes.

He had long coveted this great beauty.

If it weren't for the fact that the other party was still useful now, he would have moved long ago.

Janice frowned and stopped talking, instead helping him treat his wound.

In no time, the wound was simply bandaged up.

Janice picked up the medicine box and planned to leave.

David signaled to his younger brother, and the lackey immediately blocked the door.

Janice was surprised and asked, 'What do you want?'

David said, "It's nothing. You can't leave until my injury is healed."

David was also afraid in his heart at this moment.

He didn't know how many people wanted his life, and he lacks medicine.

With a doctor by his side, he felt at ease.

Despite Janice's resistance, he firmly kept her.

Not long after, his lackeys brought over a pot of cooked rice.

Janice almost vomited out when she thought about what it might be.

Fortunately, she worked in the hospital and often came into contact with dead people, so she was not scared to death.

David asked her to eat some too, but of course she refused.

David sneered and ignored her.

He felt that Janice was just pretending to be serious. One day, when she was too hungry to take it anymore, she would naturally eat.

"Continuing like this was not a solution. These neighbors were now daring to resist, which was very detrimental to us."

"Only by killing that guy Jack and occupying their house, we can be safe in the future."

"His house is like a fortress, with plenty of supplies inside, at least enough for us to live for a few months. Maybe by then, the snowstorm will have passed."

So, we still need to consider how to deal with Jack at the moment.

David said to the younger brothers.

Several little brothers looked at each other in confusion upon hearing this.

"David, we have attacked Jack's family several times, but each time we failed."

"Their house is like a turtle shell, we can't attack it."

David said, "I don't believe there are any flaws in their family, let alone that he doesn't go out."

"How about this, let's move in next door to his house and take turns watching him. As long as there's a chance, we'll just kill him."

"And living in high-rise buildings is also safer."

A group of people were at a loss at this moment, and they nodded in agreement with what David said.

Janice listened to their conversation in her ears.

She used the excuse of going to the bathroom to send a message to Jack and told him about it.

After learning about it, Jack smiled disapprovingly.

It's absolutely impossible for myself to go out!

"Got it, you stay there and observe the situation."

Janice was a doctor, and David wouldn't kill her, so she was currently safe for life.

Jack was not in a hurry to take action. He had set a reward, and naturally someone would kill David recklessly afterwards.

David and others packed up their supplies and then brought Janice to the 24th floor.

The young couple living next door to Jack were also scared when they found out that David had arrived.
