Chapter 85: Mr. Fool Wants to Hold His Head

"I believe in Mr. Fool," Fors said as she began to memorize the formula.

"When you return, you can request Mr. Fool's help to recall it by chanting his honorific name," Alice reminded her gently.

"Thank you for the reminder, Miss 'Fate'," Fors replied gratefully.

"Miss 'Magician', do you know about the acting method?" Audrey asked, as if she had just remembered something.

"The acting method?" Fors repeated the term in confusion. After looking around and seeing no special reaction from anyone, she realized she wasn't familiar with it.

Seeing Fors's confusion, Alice explained, "The acting method can effectively reduce the risk of losing control for low-sequence Beyonders and accelerate their advancement."

Audrey, who was about to ask for Mr. Fool's consent, hesitated. She glanced at Klein in the gray fog and then at Alice, suddenly unsure of what to say.

Receiving Audrey's gaze, Alice hesitated for a few seconds before asking, "Should I seek Mr. Fool's consent first?"

Fors, who was amazed by the method, was equally surprised that Miss 'Fate' could forget something like this.

Audrey wasn't sure if she should respond. She hesitated and looked at Klein. Alger lowered his head, pretending he hadn't heard anything.

Klein wanted to facepalm, but that would be out of character for Mr. Fool. To maintain his enigmatic image, he tapped the table twice and chuckled, "Since Miss 'Fate' has already spoken, the task of explanation falls to you."

Audrey's expression became more complex as she looked at Alice.

Alger continued to pretend he hadn't heard anything.

Even the simple-minded Derrick realized that Mr. Fool showed an unusual tolerance towards Miss 'Fate'. It wasn't surprising that Miss 'Fate' lacked reverence for Mr. Fool.

Seeing the expressions of the others, Fors realized that Miss 'Fate' held a rather special status in the Tarot Club.

Under normal circumstances, Alice should have stood up and respectfully thanked Mr. Fool for his tolerance. But from Audrey's expression, Alice realized there was no need to act anymore.

Even a blind person could see she knew Klein!

"Alright," Alice turned to Fors, who was still pondering, "but there is one condition."

After gaining Fors's attention, Alice continued, "Without Mr. Fool's permission, you cannot share the acting method with others."

Fors looked at Alice, wondering if she remembered this herself, and asked, "Do I need to pay any compensation?"

Alice hesitated and looked at Klein.

"You decide," Mr. Fool responded calmly.

"Roselle's diary," Alice answered after a brief pause. "You can pay Mr. Fool two pages of Roselle's diary as compensation."

While Fors was still thinking, Alger and Audrey simultaneously thought of a question: Could Miss 'Fate' understand Roselle's diary?

After all, if Mr. Fool could read Roselle's diary, it wouldn't be surprising if Miss 'Fate', who knew Mr. Fool, could also understand it.

Alger even recalled the awkwardly pronounced code and the incomprehensible words Alice said when she jumped off the ship.

Could Emperor Roselle's symbols be an ancient, lost language?

If this language's disappearance was related to an ancient god of the 'Fate' pathway, it wouldn't be surprising that it couldn't be divined.

But wait, how did Emperor Roselle know this language?

Alger shelved this speculation again.

After Fors agreed, Alice began to explain the acting method: "The key to potions is not mastering but digesting, not excavating but acting. The name of the potion is the 'key' to digestion."

"Why?" Fors blurted out.

She thought for a moment and added, "How should one act?"

Alice tapped the table twice and repeated Klein's "castle and guards" theory, concluding, "In short, the purpose of acting is to harmonize the body, mind, and spirit, bypassing the stubborn resistance of the potion's residual spirit, breaking it down and digesting it.

"During this process, remember that you are just acting. Don't lose yourself in the role and get assimilated by the potion's residual spirit."

With her rich imagination, Fors quickly understood Alice's meaning and confirmed, "Is this taught by Mr. Fool?"

"Sort of," Alice replied.

This rather Alice-like answer left Fors momentarily speechless, unsure of what to say.

Understanding Audrey stepped in to help, "Yes, if it weren't for Mr. Fool, we might have lost control. Our continued existence proves the effectiveness of the acting method."

No matter how much Klein mentally screamed, "Can't you learn from her?" Alice didn't hear a thing.

The next to propose a trade was Derrick. He gritted his teeth and asked a question he had long wanted to ask, "I want to know who the seven gods you mentioned are and their general situation."

Everyone knew the answer to this question. Except for Fors, who was puzzled by why Derrick would ask such a question, the others raised their hands.

Seeing three people eager to answer, Klein smiled and said, "'Sun' Mr., who do you want to trade with? What are you willing to offer as compensation?"

"Sun" Derrick pursed his lips, thought for a few seconds, and said, "I will trade with each of them individually."

This way, he could get the most comprehensive information... Derrick thought, now a bit more mature.

He paused and said, "The compensation is that you can ask me one question, one that I can answer."

"I agree. I'm very interested in Silver City," Audrey said with a smile.

Silver City? What kind of place is that? The unfamiliar place name left Fors bewildered. She looked around and began to feel out of place.

"Silver City is located in the legendary 'Forsaken Land of the Gods'," Alice kindly explained.
