Chapter 12 - 12 Ou Qian

"Junior Sister, don't be reckless! Don't you remember that this person offended you before? Why bother to protect this scoundrel!"

The woman's senior brother stepped forward, wanting to pull her away, but she shook her head and remained in front of He Cong.

"He he, Fairy, you better step aside. If you want to protect this demonic cultivator, don't blame us for being merciless," the people also spoke up.

"I am Ou Qian from the Hidden Sword Villa. Let's see who dares to touch me!" Hearing this, the woman fearlessly declared her identity.

Ou Qian!

So, that was her name. He Cong silently engraved the name Ou Qian in his mind, not for anything else, but because the woman was willing to stand up for him.

He Cong was a person who clearly distinguished between gratitude and grudges. He would remember those who had helped him.

He Cong didn't know the weight of the name Ou Qian, he just felt that the name sounded very nice.

Upon hearing this name, the immortal gods around showed a hint of fear on their faces.

It was rumored that a year ago, a disciple of an immortal sect had tried to flirt with Ou Qian. When Ou Qian's father found out, he was so angry that he took action and destroyed the entire sect.

Seeing the hesitation on the faces of the immortal gods, Ou Qian snorted, saying, "Just a name has scared you all like this. Pathetic!"

The immortal gods smiled bitterly, thinking to themselves, now that you've even revealed your name, with your father protecting you like this, who would dare to harm you? That would be asking for trouble.

Rolling her eyes, Ou Qian ignored the immortal gods and turned to point at He Cong.

"Don't think that I'm going to protect you. I am a righteous immortal and do not wish to wrongfully kill innocent people. I will give you a chance to explain. If you are truly a demonic cultivator, I will kill you myself!"

He Cong stood up and respectfully saluted Ou Qian, explaining the situation.

Upon hearing about the desecration of He Cong's mother's grave, Ou Qian also seemed to feel something. "Indeed, that person deserved to die. I would have done the same to avenge her if I were in your shoes. Your life has been so miserable."

"Hehe, Fairy, don't believe him. Even a three-year-old can make up such stories." A person among the gods walked out, sneering.

Ou Qian seemed to think that what this person said made sense. She turned to He Cong and asked, "Do you have any proof?"

He Cong replied, "If you don't believe me, you can ask the villagers."

Upon hearing this, Ou Qian stopped several villagers and asked them. She found that what He Cong said was true.

Learning of He Cong's true experience, many of the immortal gods present were moved, but there were still two who were adamant about their sect's mission and had no intention of letting He Cong go.

One of them was the man referred to as Senior Brother by the woman. He now had a jealous look on his face. If it weren't for Ou Qian still being present, he would have attacked without hesitation.

The other person was Fang Mu, who had been chasing He Cong all night. At this moment, he was looking at He Cong with an unfriendly expression.

After glancing at these two, He Cong saluted Ou Qian and said, "Thank you, Fairy, for clearing my name."

Ou Qian waved her hand, saying, "While I sympathize with you, you still killed mortals, violating the rules of the immortal world. I won't attack you myself, but I won't protect you either."

With that, Ou Qian stepped aside. Her words were clear. Although she doesn't fight He Cong, she is not on He Cong's side. She won't help He Cong. From this moment on, even if someone attacked He Cong, she would not intervene.

A wry smile flashed across He Cong's lips. He didn't know Ou Qian, and it was already good enough that she didn't attack him. There was no need for her to protect him.

Nevertheless, He Cong still thanked Ou Qian and, without hesitation, turned and fled towards the village.

When He Cong tried to escape, the man referred to as Senior Brother by Ou Qian lifted his foot to chase after him, but after glancing at his junior sister, he ultimately did not follow.

As for Fang Mu, he had no such concerns. He was about to chase after He Cong with his flying sword, but Ou Qian pointed at him and shouted, "Stop!"

Fang Mu's figure suddenly froze, and after ten breaths, he resumed his movement.

"What do you mean, Fairy?didn't you say you wouldn't help that man?" Fang Mu said in annoyance.

"It's nothing, I just don't like the look of you" Ou Qian said lightly. "If you have a problem with me, feel free to accompany me, or let's have a fight and see who is better."

Fang Mu snorted coldly. Naturally, he dared not attack Ou Qian and could only vent his anger on He Cong. Looking towards He's village, He Cong's figure was already far away. If he didn't chase now, he would have no chance.

Stepping on his flying sword, Fang Mu chased after him, but this time, Ou Qian did not intervene.

Ou Qian had no personal relationship with He Cong. Helping him this much was already going above and beyond. If He Cong was truly killed by Fang Mu, then it was just his fate.

Ou Qian watched He Cong's figure go further away, silently saying to herself, "You are a pitiful person. I can only help you this far."

Outside He's village.

He Cong didn't know that Ou Qian had stopped Fang Mu for ten breaths, but he was very clear that he must quickly get away from He's village and distance himself from the other immortals.

Out of caution, He Cong chose a path with many trees.

He glanced back and found that only Fang Mu was following him. He couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief.

He was very clear that if it wasn't for Ou Qian's intervention, there would be more than just Fang Mu chasing after him.

He Cong was a person who clearly distinguished between gratitude and grudges. He would remember those who had helped him. He silently swore that if he ever met Ou Qian again in the future, he would repay her kindness.

However, the current situation did not allow him to be distracted in the slightest. He was very clear that there would be a fierce battle ahead.

With this in mind, he tightly held a yellow talisman in his hand, ready to fight at any moment.

He was confident that with the ten-breath advantage of the talisman, even if he couldn't kill Fang Mu, he could escape his pursuit.

After all, He Cong's cultivation level was still much lower than Fang Mu's. Although he had the advantage of ten breaths, as time passed, the distance between them continued to shrink.

Just then, the earth in front of He Cong suddenly churned, turning into a mud barrier blocking his path.

At the same time, he felt a chill behind him. Subconsciously turning his head, he saw Fang Mu swinging his sword towards him.

Seeing that his path was blocked, He Cong stomped hard on the ground, using the recoil to dodge to the side.

His movements were almost instantaneous, without any delay, but he was still a step too slow and his right arm was cut by the sword.

Due to his timely evasion, the wound was not deep. He Cong didn't have time to dwell on his injuries. He stared firmly at Fang Mu, who was holding his sword in front of him.

"Haha, this time no one can save you!" Fang Mu said, waving his hand. Suddenly, the mud under He Cong's feet changed again.

He Cong was startled to find that his body was sinking.

It was as if he was sinking into a swamp!

In just a few breaths, his legs were already sinking into the mud.

He instinctively tried to escape, but found that the more he struggled, the faster he sank.

"Kid, you think you can escape, but now you can't even move your feet. Let's see how you can escape now!" Fang Mu sneered, walking towards He Cong with his sword in hand.

In the next moment, Fang Mu gripped his long sword and thrust it directly at He Cong!
