The meeting had finally wrapped up, but not without the usual chaos. Our group was a mix of strong personalities, and when you put them all in the same room, things were bound to get a little out of control.
As we filed out of the council room, Zaya stretched her arms above her head and let out a loud groan.
"I am starving," she declared. "Let's go get food before I pass out."
"Of course you're starving," Lise said with a raised brow, clearly amused. "You spent the entire meeting doodling instead of paying attention."
Zaya shrugged. "What can I say? Multitasking is my strength."
We all headed toward the cafeteria, a motley crew of the Council of Ten. I couldn't help but chuckle to myself. Here we were, the top students of the university, supposedly responsible for major decisions, and yet we could barely keep ourselves together in a meeting. At least the chaos kept things interesting.
