I pressed on through the dense forest, the bundle given to me by the kind woman tucked securely under my arm. The morning sun filtered through the canopy, casting dappled light on the path ahead. My mind was a whirlwind of thoughts about Lise, the demon realm, and the dangers that awaited me.
Suddenly, a rustling in the underbrush snapped me back to reality. I froze, senses heightened, scanning the area for any signs of danger. My heart raced as the rustling grew louder, closer. From the shadows emerged two figures, their eyes gleaming with malice. Rogue demons.
"Well, well, what do we have here?" sneered the first demon, his voice a low, guttural growl. He was tall and muscular, with dark, leathery skin and jagged teeth that glinted in the dim light.
"A little human girl wandering all alone," the second demon chimed in, her voice dripping with mockery. She was smaller but no less menacing, her eyes glowing a sickly yellow.
