Lise's eyes were ice cold as she faced Jackob, who struggled to his feet, his dark energy crackling menacingly around him. "You should have known better than to underestimate me, Jackob," she said, her voice devoid of any warmth.
Jackob wiped a trickle of blood from the corner of his mouth and snarled, "I won't be beaten by someone like you."
Lise raised her hand, and a massive ice spear formed, shimmering in the air. "Then prepare to face the consequences of your arrogance," she said, her tone as unforgiving as the ice she commanded.
She hurled the spear with incredible force. Jackob barely had time to react, raising a shield of dark energy that shattered upon impact. He staggered back, the force of the blow evident in his grimace of pain.
