After the kiss lingered between us for what felt like a moment suspended in time, Eileen gently pulled away and gave me a soft smile, her fingers still tracing circles over my chest.
She stretched, her body warm and relaxed from our lazy afternoon, and I could feel the slight tension of muscles waking from the nap.
"We probably should get up now," she said, her voice still low but a little more insistent. "Or we'll never move."
I groaned theatrically, burying my face into the pillow for a moment before turning back to her with a grin. "Fine, fine. But I vote for a shower first. We could use one."
She raised a brow, the corner of her lips twitching up. "Oh, I bet you just want an excuse to see me naked again."
I chuckled, standing up and offering her my hand. "You caught me."
She laughed, taking my hand as I helped her out of bed. We both stretched lazily before making our way to the bathroom, the room still hazy with the warmth of the day.
