The corridors of the academy, usually so imposing and vast, seemed even more so as Zaya and I tiptoed through them in our current clandestine mission. The faint echoes of our footsteps bounced off the stone walls, a reminder of just how quiet the evening had become.
The moonlight filtering through the arched windows created eerie shadows that danced along the floor, giving the whole scene an air of suspenseful anticipation.
