The rogue demon's claws came down, and I barely had time to summon my blue flames again to create a protective barrier. The force of the attack sent shockwaves through my body, but I managed to hold my ground. Lise and Zaya quickly moved to flank the demon, their faces set with determination.
"Lise, use your ice magic!" Zaya yelled, her voice strained as she conjured her shadows to bind the creature.
Lise nodded and cast a spell, sharp icicles forming in the air before shooting towards the demon. However, to our shock, the ice shattered harmlessly against its skin. The creature roared, seemingly unaffected by the attack.
"It's immune to ice magic!" Lise exclaimed, her eyes wide with disbelief.
Zaya's shadows coiled around the demon, but it shrugged them off as if they were mere cobwebs. "And shadow magic too," Zaya added, frustration evident in her tone. "This is bad."
