The figure lay pinned beneath Lise, their defiance palpable in their eyes. We had to get answers, and quickly.
"Who are you?" Zaya demanded, leaning in closer, her eyes sharp and intense. "What do you know about the rogue demons?"
The figure remained silent, their lips pressed into a thin line. Lise tightened her grip, a dangerous glint in her eyes.
"Talk," she ordered, her voice cold as ice.
Still, the figure refused to speak. The tension in the alleyway was thick, the only sounds our heavy breathing and the distant hum of the town.
"Last chance," Lise said, her tone dropping even lower. "Tell us what you know, or you'll regret it."
