They occupied the further last beach in the school park. Vivian, Lola, and Ken were all intent on Nucho, and no doubt that really made him uncomfortable, but not as uncomfortable and annoyed as Vivian was because of Lola's presence.
She had no choice but to bear with it for the time being.
Vivian finally broke the awkward silence. She told Nucho everything that she knew and suspected of being true and how Nucho finally came in, helping them out to find out exactly what his father and the principal were up to.
Nucho, however, wasn't in agreement with any of this. He strongly refused to help them out in their endeavor.
"What's wrong with you, Nucho?" Vivian snapped in frustration. "Why do you always have to be so incompetent and canning, huh?"
"What, how dare you!" exclamed Nucho. "Call me incompetent again, and you will regret it!"
"Well, you know the two are up to no good, but you still wanna cover up their dirty tracks. You don't have the right to better yourself nor the ability to do so. I shatter to think what the future holds for you." Vivian said condescendingly.
By now, Nucho was blazing with fury." Who do you think you are? Why should I care what they plan on doing and why on earth would I tell you. And if I want to prepare for my future, I am better off playing professional football."
Vivian laughed at that. "Really? Delusional! You playing pro football, do you even have an incline of how difficult it is to get to that level? It requires commitment and dedication that you surely lack. Face it, you don't have what it takes."
All the while, Lola and Ken kept quiet and left Vivian to stir the conversation. Since it was her idea in the first place.
Nucho had finally lost his cool. "I didn't waste my time coming here to get insulted. I am leaving, since you seem to be so smart, why not find out what they are up to yourself." scorned Nucho and started packing up his things.
"If you wanna see your life shatter to pieces be my guest, see how much I care?" said Vivian curtly.
Nucho never bothered to respond. He just went ahead, frustrated and filled with rage, and left them.
Vivian, on the other hand, seemed pretty calm and unperturbed.
Lola stood up in befuddlement. "Look, Vivian, Nucho won't tell us anything if you make him feel so stupid than he already is."
"Yes, I can acknowledge that I was wrong about him. It's clear to me that his really that pathetic and doesn't really care. Am gonna do it myself." said Vivian.
"I see, okay then, I will talk to Nucho once more again, I promise. I don't think we should give up so easily." said Lola confidently.
"If you are being sincere right now, then I appreciate the sentiment, I do. But tell me, why did you really agree to help us out in this endeavor? Are you trying to sabotage me, huh?" Scorned Vivian.
"Huh, I can't believe you. Do you really think that? Listen, I am not an underhanded person, and the fact that you would even assume that about me makes me feel so sad for you. It's awful, and I hope you really don't mean all that." Lola said disappointedly and walked away.
"That was pretty cold, V." Ken said.
"Do I seem to care what you think, Lola will never stop claiming to befriend everyone. Her good looks and cheerful demeanor make her naturally popular with men and women, too. That's why many students like her, who seem to have tremendous influence within school. Nevertheless, I suspect that she hates me, I have a strange feeling about her. She's one of those people who doggedly pursue friendship with people they hate. I just don't get it." lamented Vivian.
