"A year and a half, a year and a half, by then will you even want kids? How old are you this year?" Shen's mother complained.
"How old am I really? Nowadays, everyone has children later in life. Many of my classmates are still unmarried, and some don't even have boyfriends! What can they do about that?" Shen Hanqian tried to reassure her mother.
"Yes, they're having them later. But you can't just have one, can you? You need to have two, or three, right?"
"Mom, you want me to have three kids right now, how could I?"
"Marry a foreigner? Most of the girls from our village have married foreigners. When they come back, they bring a whole household and several kids, it's quite a scene, all these little ones!"
