"I've already told Lu Hechen," Weilan rebutted coolly. "You two have been chatting up there for so long, was it not to exchange opinions and ideas? Why bother asking me, isn't that unnecessary and pointless?"
She already knew what they had discussed; now playing dumb and asking her was simply a waste of time.
"We were exchanging opinions?" Song Di blinked at Shen Weilan, his gaze teasing, "Weilan, you seem very concerned about what Hechen and I were discussing in private, huh?"
"Who's concerned?" Weilan immediately denied and shifted her gaze away, but as she did, it fell upon the staircase, and she froze.
Lu Hechen was standing at the top of the second-floor staircase, looking down at her and Song Di from his vantage point, his piercing eyes filled with a hint of contemplation.
Weilan quickly averted her gaze back to Song Di.
Song Di also glanced at Lu Hechen, exchanging a look with him.
