On the way back, Weilan remained silent throughout the long drive, which took about two and a half hours. Lu Hechen had sped on the way there, but now they needed to fuel up.
When they reached the service area, he drove the car in.
Weilan glanced at the dashboard but said nothing.
After filling up, Lu Hechen parked at the supermarket, got out to buy some drinks, and handed one to Weilan when he returned. "Have some water," he offered.
"I don't want any," Weilan shook her head.
Lu Hechen looked at her lips, which were very dry. He guessed she hadn't had any water from the afternoon till the evening and urged her, "Have some. Your lips are all dry."
"I said I don't want any. Are you annoying or what?" Weilan was desperate to use the restroom. She hadn't gone all afternoon, and now that she had relaxed a bit, she felt incredibly uncomfortable.
Lu Hechen noticed her restlessness, and with a glint in his eyes, he asked, "Do you want to use the restroom?"
