"Shen Weilan!"
A woman's sharp rebuke pierced into Shen Weilan's eardrums.
Shen Weilan's brow furrowed as she looked toward the newcomer—it was Lu Xiaoyun.
Wasn't this Lu Hechen's younger half-sister, the daughter borne by the current Mrs. Lu?
Lu Xiaoyun was about the same age as Shen Lu, the two of them as close as sisters, one might say they were bosom friends.
Having been raised outside the family, Shen Weilan was familiar with the members of both the Shen and Lu families but did not have close ties with them.
The Lu family also had a second son, Lu Xiaoyun's full brother, Lu Heyan, who actually had given her some help. Shen Weilan did remember Lu Heyan.
"Weilan!" Mrs. Lu too had arrived, but her tone was more amiable.
Shen Weilan maintained the propriety she ought to display, nodding at them, "Aunt, Xiaoyun, I've just closed up shop, I'm preparing to leave!"
"Closed up?" Mrs. Lu smiled and said, "It's alright, just a little delay!"
