Weilan froze, her foot, gripped by his hand, felt as if it had been scalded, blood rushing backward.
She felt extremely awkward, her whole body stiffened, afraid of meeting Lu Hechen's eyes, she quickly lowered her lashes, trembling slightly, and didn't dare to look at him.
Lu Hechen's gaze remained on her face, intense and burning. It seemed normal at a glance, but upon closer inspection, one could see the extraordinary gleam flowing at the bottom of his eyes, dazzlingly beautiful.
"Does it still hurt?" Lu Hechen asked.
Weilan's heart tightened again, and she quickly raised her eyes to meet his, whispering, "Not that much anymore."
"How about now?" He pressed down on the ankle, increasing the pressure slightly.
"Mmm...." Weilan winced a little from the pain, unable to help but make a sound, though it was very soft, like a kitten's meow, almost like a whimper.
That sound instantly made Lu Hechen's eyes narrow.
