Shen Weilan was a bit stunned by what was said; her gaze fell on Aunt Fu, then turned toward Lu Hechen.
Lu Hechen did not speak, and Weilan suddenly felt that something was not quite right.
Her gaze was unblinking as she looked at Lu Hechen for a long time.
Lu Hechen finally spoke, "Aunt Fu, you may go now."
"Yes!" Aunt Fu turned to leave.
"Wait a moment," Weilan said.
Lu Hechen furrowed his brows and looked at Weilan.
Weilan's gaze stayed on Aunt Fu as she said, "Aunt Fu, you're right, a woman should have self-respect and also be modest. I understand now, thank you for reminding me. You can go on with your duties."
Aunt Fu paused, her gaze shifting slightly as she looked at Shen Weilan; a few seconds later, she turned and left.
Only then did Weilan stand up and say to Lu Hechen, "I'm full, I'll be leaving first."
"Sit down," he commanded in a deep voice, his tone authoritarian and leaving no room for refusal.
Weilan looked at him, her gaze calm.
