Sebastian and Benjamin returned to father Roberts who was still in the room where Matthew's dead body was. They approached the man as he seemed to be done with his prayer.
"Indeed magic was used. Black magic. Black magic is practiced by dark witches sire." Father Roberts said to Sebastian. "Dark witches?" Benjamin asked and Sebastian listened with a straight face. "Dark witches leave a trail of dark energy on whatever they touch, wherever they go and their victim. Right now, dark energy still swirls around him. It's almost the same thing with your kind" the Bishop said referring to Sebastian. Apart from Benjamin, Father Roberts was the only one who knew the kind of creature the king was, as a result of the circumstance that brought them together. But Father Roberts believed Sebastian was special and because of that, he didn't feel threatened by the identity of the king.
"Hmm...I see" Sebastian said. "It's obvious black magic was also used in Blackthorn. There's a way the dark energy can be removed right?" Sebastian asked. He wanted Matthew to have a good and peaceful burial instead of being buried while dark energy still hovers over him. "Yes sire. But the dark energy would return if the witches are close by" Father Roberts stated.
The king seemed to be in thought for a while before saying "Alright then. Please do what you must father. After this, I guess we'd take you to Blackthorn. So the people can atleast rest assured". "Okay son" father Roberts said while patting Sebastian on the shoulder.
The king and his advisor Benjamin, left the Bishop alone once again. Father Roberts began sprinkling holy water on the body of Matthew and he prayed to follow it up.
After the dark energy was gone from Matthew, father Roberts was accompanied to Blackthorn by Sebastian and he prayed and sprinkled holy water on the areas of Blackthorn the thefts and killings were.
Seeing the king in their village, the people were surprised and Sebastian used it as an opportunity to give them a speech. Assuring them that their village will be safe from the witches or any form of dark energy.
Minutes later, Sebastian returned to the castle to dine with Father Roberts as a form of thanks. After their meal, Sebastian said "We have to find a way to get rid of those witches and the people of Irvington that the witches gave their magic". "Indeed sire. The more time wasted, the more damage will be done" Father Roberts concurred. "Do you think you can do it?" Sebastian asked as he locked his fingers together and placed his chin on them. "There's nothing impossible for God your majesty. But a little help might go along way. After all, I'm an old man" the Bishop stated. "I'll have some soliders help you. But it would be after the burial of the Coachman".
"No problem sire" Father Roberts agreed.
Father Roberts was escorted by the king's guards back to his abode and Sebastian left the task of planning a burial for Matthew to Benjamin.
Mirabelle and her mother were back home and the woman let out a breath she didn't know she was holding. "What's wrong mama?" Mirabelle asked feeling the uneasiness coming from her mother. "The king is strange. He gives off such aura that I don't really like" Mrs Nolan whispered to her daughter so the king's guards who were behind them wouldn't hear her as they walked inside the house. Unbeknownst to them that Klaus and Marcus heard every word spoken by the daughter and mother but just decided to ignore. After all, it wasn't the first time people talked about the king.
"I agree. He is strange" Mirabelle whispered back.
"I wonder how your father works for such a strange person" Mrs Nolan said as she led Mirabelle to the couch to sit. Klaus and Marcus excused themselves as the daughter and mother continued their conversation.
"Father might feel different about him so let's not think deep into it. " Mirabelle concluded. Though she felt Sebastian was strange, she was curious about him.
