Pei Yibai finished washing his hands and noticed that Song Weiyi hadn't left; his movements paused.
"You're still here?"
"Yeah, you're making dumplings, I have my own things to do too."
She opened the cupboard, took out the already-prepared tools and ingredients, a box of eggs, and cracked them into a bowl.
Pei Yibai was puzzled, "What are you doing?"
"It's a secret. Don't dawdle now, get started, or else we won't have made any by the end of the afternoon."
That afternoon, the housekeeper was also waiting to come in and cook; they couldn't possibly occupy the kitchen the whole time.
Song Weiyi then took two aprons, put one on Pei Yibai, and one on herself.
"Yours is blue, mine is pink, couple's aprons." Even the aprons were for couples, haha.
Pei Yibai was at a loss for words, dried his hands, and stared at the dumpling wrappers and filling in front of him.
