Song Weiyi was awakened by the sound of her phone, groggily opening her eyes to find her cellphone on the desk, still warm from use, but the man was nowhere to be seen.
Her pleasant dream interrupted, Song Weiyi resignedly got up, and sure enough, it was her best friend Zhao Mengmeng on the phone.
"Song Weiyi, you finally answered your damn phone, I've been looking for you forever. Hurry up, get dolled up, you're going shopping with me," Zhao Mengmeng shouted into the phone.
Even through the phone line, Song Weiyi could imagine the other woman's frustrated demeanor. After all, they had just started their vacation—why the need to go shopping so abruptly?
"Can I refuse? I'm so sleepy," Song Weiyi yawned lazily as she replied.
The answer was predictable.
"Are you asking for death? Who gave you the right to refuse! You have twenty minutes. If you're not here, you'll face the consequences!"
Then, Song Weiyi heard the "beep beep beep" of the call ending, the woman had hung up.
