Dragging people with a tractor was not a novel sight in the town, but hauling dozens of them to the police station was certainly odd.
Especially for the chief, who, with the night light being quite poor, couldn't see very clearly. He vaguely made out the tractor filled with people, not standing, but lying in all kinds of positions, just like a stack of arhats.
By the time the tractor, with its putt-putt noise, arrived in the yard and under the light, the chief finally saw the faces clearly. Among them, the most conspicuous was Tiger, hanging off the back of the tractor. The chief shivered unconsciously, thinking he was mistaken. Rubbing his eyes vigorously and looking again, he realized he hadn't been wrong; it was indeed Tiger, the notorious bully who strut out around town.
The chief and the officers began to sweat. What exactly was going on? It was one thing using a tractor to haul people, but hauling Tiger and his ilk, it seemed they had been caught in one fell swoop.
