Although this quality inspection exam was only an internal test for Zhi'an High School, from setting the paper to invigilating, and onto the late-stage paper marking, the school completely simulated the requirements and process of the national college entrance examination.
Therefore, after the students completed their exams, the teachers at Zhi'an High began to mark the papers according to their respective subjects, essentially on an assembly line. More specifically, all papers were sealed, and the markers could not see any student's name or class information on any of the papers. Each teacher was responsible for marking one major question until every question on all papers had been marked. The seal would only be broken afterward, followed by the tallying of scores.
