"Hmm?" Lafra blinked her eyes, seemingly catching a whiff of an out-of-the-ordinary scent, and judging by Betty's and Chen Ze's expressions, Lafra was certain that Chen Ze must have secretly been up to something without her knowledge.
Chen Ze was also somewhat panic-stricken, although he did not know what Betty had been about to say, he could not simply do nothing, and by attempting to prevent her, he realized he might have inadvertently drawn more attention to the matter.
"Dear, I'm hungry~" What surprised Chen Ze, however, was that Lafra did not come over to inquire about anything, but instead walked over smiling and took his hand.
".." Chen Ze was a bit stunned, as common sense would suggest that Lafra ought to have asked him what he was hiding, or at least queried Betty, but instead...
"Hehe, dear, you must have your reasons for keeping secrets from me, so I won't ask~" Lafra's smile was bright and her eyes looked beautiful.
