"I... What just happened to me?" Betty rubbed her head in pain and slowly got up from the ground. She had no memory of what had just happened, and if it weren't for the fact that she was in a restaurant, Lafra might have suspected that she had been attacked.
"Hey dude, you awake?" Chen Ze smiled at Betty, while Lafra stood beside him with a speechless expression.
"Lady Lafra!" Betty immediately jumped up, worried she might be mistaken for slacking off.
"Really, don't just try out dishes randomly next time." Lafra didn't blame Betty but turned to look at Chen Ze, pouting.
"Heh heh... I didn't expect it to turn out like this either," Chen Ze said, a bit embarrassed.
When he had gone out earlier, Professor Moriarty had asked if he needed help; he could devise a plan to deal with Betty without leaving any evidence behind.
Chen Ze was puzzled. He just had Betty to taste a dish, yet these people made it seem like it was no different from murder and bootlegging.
