"I feel like the adult world is so complicated," Ronna lay on the table, her current state could best be described as seeing stars and questioning life itself.
"In the adult world, nothing is simple," Chen Ze walked out, handing a freshly baked pizza to Ronna.
"But just now... Mr. Moriarty's words, they made me a bit..." Ronna tried hard to shake her head, attempting to clear her thoughts.
Chen Ze watched Ronna noncommittally, Moriarty's words sounding like a university lecture, which was somewhat challenging for Ronna to understand at the moment.
"Stop thinking about it; you'll know eventually," Chen Ze couldn't help but rub Ronna's head, feeling he would become a good father in the future.
"Um... thank you, Manager Chen, for looking after me for so long. If it weren't for you..." Ronna looked up at Chen Ze, her eyes brimming with tears.
Chen Ze's mouth twitched. What the hell? Why was this getting sentimental all of a sudden?
