The craft fairy, named Lysa, had once long ago helped the Frost Elves here transition swiftly from their primitive forms to a civilized society; however, suddenly, for reasons unknown, they became disconnected from the world, no longer able to return to the Main Universe.
The other fairies, too, lost their connection simultaneously and soon after, everyone felt overwhelmingly tired, sinking into a hibernation.
Fortunately, the "legends" they left behind in the Main Universe did not disappear. Elves live for great lengths of time, and barring any unforeseen accidents leading to death, they can survive for ages. Therefore, even during the period of their collective disconnection, there were still a handful of times when they could respond to the calls of the Main World, forcibly moving through an unknown "BUG" to get back.
