Some races with the same inheritance abilities had already begun extensive investigations within their own populations, to prevent similar incidents from occurring.
The various professional associations were also happy, after all, Elves were widespread across them, actual living fossils within the associations, and could be directly consulted as humanoid encyclopedias whenever there were questions. Not to mention the high price paid to hire them; if Elves were to perish entirely, what would happen to the breach of contract compensation?
