The indigenous population really revered the gods who brought them all sorts of wonderful dreams, even going so far as to initiate several Heretic Cleansings, much to the astonishment of the Gods of Dreams, who subsequently became fearful and cut off all contact, quickly distancing themselves!
Of course, this kind of spontaneous cleansing by the local indigenous churches naturally led to dissatisfaction among some of the otherworldly natives, resulting in numerous "anti-church movements" in other worlds. Due to the swift distancing by the Gods of Dreams, the local Acting Churches were unable to use their divine power, so they were swiftly wiped out.
